About Us

Julie Cutting and June McCullough founded Hearing Solutions in 1995.
June, Julie and our staff of experienced audiologists are dedicated to providing professional and courteous service and expert advice to meet each patient's needs.

June McCullough, Ph.D., CCCA

Dr. June McCullough established Hearing Solutions with her fellow audiologist, Julie Cutting, in 1995.  She is also a professor at SJSU, where she founded the Doctor of Audiology program that is now admitting its first cohort of doctoral students.  She is a Past President of the California Academy of Audiology (2012).  Dr. McCullough has published extensively in the area of using computers to assess patients who speak different languages.  Her favorite part of being an audiologist is seeing patients who have been with the practice for many years and watching how the improvements in technology are helping these patients hear better.

Dr. McCullough has two children. Her older son Kevin is a music teacher in San Jose.  Her younger son Paul is an English teacher in San Luis Obispo.  In her spare time (!),  Dr. McCullough plays tennis, reads, walks her pups, and cheers on the A's.

Julie Cutting, MA, CCCA

Julie Cutting established Hearing Solutions with her friend and fellow audiologist in 1995 starting in a small one-room office and growing the practice to what is has become today.

Julie really enjoys her daily interactions with her staff and patients and listening to their cares and concerns. She loves to see the positive reaction of patients who have just been fitted with hearing aids for the first time and who are amazed at the sound quality and clarity they are hearing.

Julie enjoys golf and tennis and spends time walking and working out at the gym. She also loves to read, watch sports, and play Words With Friends! Julie is crazy about animals of all kinds.

Julie loves to spend time with her family and friends. She has four wonderful stepchildren and two young grandsons.

Patricia Cato Coogan, AuD, CCCA

Dr. Tricia Coogan was excited to join June and Julie at Hearing Solutions in 2010, returning to practice Audiology after a three year leave she took to focus all her energies on raising her then very young three boys.  She previously enjoyed a fulfilling and stimulating 16-year career at San Francisco Hearing and Speech Center providing diagnostic audiology and hearing aid services to patients of all ages.  She especially enjoyed working with very young children.  She participated in numerous research projects focusing on the development of digital hearing aid technologies and tinnitus management.  She also enjoyed training and supervising audiology interns while at the Center.  She is board certified by the American Board of Audiology.

At Hearing Solutions, Tricia loves helping her patients learn about their hearing loss and helping them find the best hearing aid technologies and listening strategies to improve their ability to hear and communicate.

When not at Hearing Solutions, Tricia loves trying to keep up with her three wonderful teenage boys.  Her oldest son is in college studying physical therapy, her middle son will soon be leaving to play baseball in college while studying criminal justice and her youngest son is a talented musician in middle school and a computer wiz.  She also loves traveling with her family, reading, walking her dog Apollo and gardening.

Stephanie Tademaru, MA, CCCA

Stephanie joined Hearing Solutions in 2016, after a 20-year absence from the field of Audiology. She previously worked at the Hearing Institute For Children and Adults but decided to leave work after her second child was born. As with everything in life, things change. Once her kids were off to college, Stephanie decided to return to the field of audiology. She attended the California Academy of Audiology conference and rediscovered her love and passion for the field. Stephanie was especially excited to learn about the incredible technological advancements in hearing aids. She was absolutely amazed by what can now be done, versus what could be done 20 years ago. She is so grateful to be able to work in a field that she is excited about, and she loves the interactions she has with her patients.

Stephanie is living her best life! After the age of 50, she finally discovered her passions in life; traveling,  ballroom dancing, Latin dancing, and working with patients again.
